The Community Activists Network project for 2004-2005 concluded at the beginning of October 2005. The one year project brought 14 European Voluntary Service (EVS) volunteers to Kosovo for periods from 6 months to one year. Local partners in these communities helped the volunteers adjust to the communities, and worked together to involve young activists in developing and implementing activities in their communities. Among the activities implemented in the communities:

Video introductions of the CAN program in 2004-2005 were prepared by the volunteers for new volunteers. These can be seen at Community Activist Network

The project included monthly trainings and meetings for the volunteers and local partners. It involved many hundreds of kids and youth in its supported activities.
The primary support for this project was provided by the Youth Agency of the European Union. A new phase of CAN - the Community Activists Network 3 - begins 8 May 2007.
