I have been the coordinator of Plemetina Learning Center (PLC) for almost three years now. In April of this year we celebrated the 7th anniversary of our center as a part of the Learning Centers Network (LCN) program.

What I noticed while I working as a facilitator here was that this center is very much appreciated and cherished by the community and children that we work with. Successes are growing from day to day, month to month and year to year. The center itself is growing and learning continuously.

When I took on the challenge of becoming coordinator of the center, the main goal that I set for myself was to improve on the previous successes of the children and staff. This was made a lot easier for me through a dedicated and committed team of experienced staff.

Throughout our seven years of work we became stronger and gained more experience as a team. One of our greatest and proudest achievements to date is a reduction of school dropout rates. This is a reflection of our commitment and was achieved through increased trust from the community. This along with improved cooperation between schools and the municipality has resulted in great improvements in this area. We work hard from day to day to implement our planned activities and reach our goals. We measure our success through the continued progress of the children and we hope to continue working in solidarity to overcome future challenges.
