Most Balkan Sunflowers programs have focused on youth and children. These have included youth video and photography programs, Tai Chi, English classes, computer instructions, sports programs and tournaments, scouting , and music workshops. Early childhood education has been particularly important. The Learning Centers Network in Kosovo enables some of the regions most disadvantaged children to have a chance. The School Mediators program  works with 35 schools to prevent drop-outs, return children who leave early to school, and work between parents and schools to solve problems. PRECEDE – the Partnership for Reconciliation in Early Childhood Education and Development in Europe  – is building a committed network in Kosovo, and with our regional partners in the Balkans, in cooperation with government as well as civil society, to realize inclusive values in schools with young children, their teachers, and parents.
